About the Artist - Linda J Shea

 I have always been a jewellery lover and a creative person. Often, I found it difficult to find the kind of jewellery that I like to wear, jewellery that blends modern with traditional design, with interesting texture, clean lines and colourful gemstones.

I began by remodelling some of my own jewelry, and took courses locally. This led to a full time Jewellery Design program at Lasalle College, numerous post graduate courses, and thousands of hours of practice.

I am now able to create the type of jewellery that I want to wear myself and share with others.

I work primarily with silver, occasionally other metals, and employ traditional jewellers tools and techniques to create each piece by hand. . I am committed to ethical sourcing and environmentally friendly practice.

Like a deep sapphire blue pool, this bezel set Opal acts as the focal point in this organic Sterling Silver Pendant.  Molten sterling silver has been cast into organic straw to produce highly textured design elements which are then arranged and soldered to form a pendant.
